GROVE
GARDEN ‘BATON’ PASSED ON
The First Corinthians 13
Garden in the DFUMC
Grove for Prayer and Meditation
has a new Gardner.
After three years of meticulously caring for
the flowers and foliage plants in the five barrels of the Garden, George Aber
has passed the ‘baton’ on to another individual who is equally as ambitious and
zealous about maintaining the Garden.
Doris Hnida is certainly no stranger to the
Dingmans Ferry Church, but some may not know of her gardening interests and
skills.
She not only has the barrels returned to the same
‘standard’ as George, but has also re-potted some other plants in the Grove and
given new life to the pine seedlings in the ‘Old Growth/New Birth’
Tree-of-Life station in the Grove.
Many thanks to Doris for her ‘Green Thumb’ and
her ‘Special Way’ with foliage plants and flowers!
And yet another round of applause for George
Aber for creating a beautiful and lasting prototype for the First Corinthians 13
Garden over the years!
