George Aber has become the Prayer and Meditation Grove ‘Gardener Extraordinaire!’ To date, he has planted four of the five Biblical Planter Barrels in the Grove with plants transplanted from either his or his daughter’s garden. (plants in the 5th barrel were generously provided and planted by Jane Gildea).
George can frequently be seen
visiting the Grove to water the plants or provide them with some TLC.
He obviously has a ‘green thumb’ and clearly
enjoys getting his hands and his ‘heart’ in the soil.
So far, local deer have avoided ‘snacking’ on
George’s barrel plants, but he vows to replace any deer-browsed plants with
additional ‘stock’ from his home garden.
