A DASH AND SPLASH OF COLOR

in the Grove

The many shades of green in the Prayer and Meditation Grove will help to create a calm and soothing environment for those who visit the Grove.  Psychological research has shown that green is a cool color that not only symbolizes nature and the natural world, but also is thought to relieve stress and even to heal.  But it can’t hurt to add a dash of color to complement the rich green hues.  To that end, some colorful plants have been introduced into the Biblical Planter Barrels in the Grove, and plans are being made to plant clusters of multi-hued flowers along the west perimeter of the Grove.  Bob Davis started this initiative with the recent planting of summer flowers, and a variety of Spring bulbs (possibly tulips, daffodils, and iris) will soon be added to the palette of plantings, thanks to a generous donor.

Stay tuned for more on this in the near future.
