HOME SCHOOLERS LEND A HELPING HAND
On August 26, two families of
‘home-schooled’ children and youth contributed several hours of hand labor to
the Prayer and Meditation Grove.
Included were Spencer and Benjamin Joseph,
accompanied by their mother, Melissa; and Andre, Daisha, and Ebony Phillips,
accompanied by their mother, Brianne.
Although it was a very hot and humid day, the
group managed to clear brush and debris from a large portion of the site and
‘pave’ a twenty-foot section of the P&MG pathway with a three to four inch layer
of compacted ‘stone dust.’
In the process, these hardy young workers
earned credits toward their school ‘community service’ requirements.
